EC playing nice chords

Post by udi091 »

hi

watch this video of worried life blues, before they start playing the song, Clapton plays a few chords. Its taken out from the unplugged performance.
its really nice. could anyone help me out figure them?

A shame the visual doesn't sync the audio.

Just back from vacation, need to take a second look. Doesn't look too difficult...

OK, between 0:07 and 0:12 he plays something like F#m7 - D7 - F# - G - C.
The following fingerpicking part is harder to find out...

Yes, but I'm short of free time currently. But it's possible.

OK, he's picking around with the chords:
G/G7 - C (the picking pattern from Hey, Hey, but another key)
G/G7 - C
F/F6 - short simple lick - D7 -G7 - C - F - C

do you manage to play it?
it sounds right but i can't play it as just as he does.
the pattern is i think a slide between the 3rd and 5th frets on the first and second strings.

I can't play it like EC  - and I know I never will, even if I sit side by side watching him.

But that's not necessary - play it your way!
