Got a new toy!

Post by Blindboy »

Actually an old toy. DeaconBlues got my old Jim Dunlop Jimi Hendrix Wah pedal working recently, this was the first time I had used it in over fifteen years. A wah pedal isn't something you can just plug in and go... I need to practice, learn how to use it (not to mention how NOT to use it  ) Fun anyway...
The song is another of Jim's originals, called "Ten Story Cave", from our open mic on the 19th of September.
Strat, through wah, through Tweed.

Hope y'all like it.

ohhhhh........BB,BB,BB.....that was awesome dude..........if you would have played that on a strat!!!!!! None the less, great vibe, made me want to put some bell bottoms on. It might be the second glass of wine, but the singer had a little younger Willie Nelson sound to him....... :music2:

If that's what you can do BEFORE you learn how to use the pedal - I sure look forward to hearing something from you after you've learned. Adds some good variations in tone - atmospheric - NICE!

Thanks VB. :shy:
This is a pedal that would be really easy to abuse or overuse. I need to figure out where it would be right and where not to use it. (probably most of the time  )

Now there's something else I never shoulda got rid of. You make it sound like I never could. My son's got one he says I can borrow but it's just something else to learn! I never got the hang of mine so I sold it!

This tune ('specially you and the wah) sounds great. I'd buy another drink to hang out and hear more of this!

:yikes: Is there anything you do not master? It didn't sound like you didn't play it for 15 years...
I'd take another  too!
