I may have to back out. I have gigs (I call them gigs) sunday and monday nights, and lots of stuff to do during the day (plus change strings on my Casino), and I still haven't gotten my GuitarPort to be able to talk to my Audacity. This happened after a power outage (frequent here). Sunday and Monday are my weekend, after that I go back to work, which is eleven and a half hours a day counting my commute. It would be at least next Sunday before I could post anything, most likely. I won't get my feelings hurt if you give my slot to someone else.

Here's your spot Cruisemates, sorry Blindboy :alright:

Sent now.

It's my first, but not one of my best. :D First take, didn't even listen to the backing track or adjust the amp before I made it. Just don't have the time with the baby in the house.

Ah- sorry! :shy: I've been meaning to check whether procrastination runs in my family, but I've never gotten around to it...

Bad jokes aside, I'll try and get to it tomorrow afternoon. The sound won't be great, probably, but nobody's ears should bleed too badly.

Sorry to make everyone wait... :shy: Tomorrow!! :guitarist:

I sent in my solo to nxsneil yesterday (did it get through? I've never had good luck sending files) so I think we should be hearing the final mix pretty soon.

Thanks for putting it together!

Surprise to hear a harp solo so acoustic, not overdrive/compressed like usually in blues. Nice. Also very much enjoyed how Slim wrapped it up in the end.

My solo is quite different from the rest, don't really know if it's good or not...

It is! The difference in both tone and playing is quite interesting - and again it's a collab from all over the world!

(PS: I've placed the file inline, so the build-in mp3-player is shown, if you don't mind)

Yes, job well done! The different approaches were exciting to listen to.

Cruisemates & Leftyslim, you two have some colorful phrasings, good stuff!

Thanks again Neil for the fine production.

Good, good music! Very much a complex amalgam with the different approaches, textures, etc. This is going to be great to listen to many, many times.

As somebody who is just learning my listening sessions are like:

Note to self: Learn that riff
Note to self: Also learn that riff
Note to self: Also learn that other riff
Note to self: Figure out if that speedy little run was done with fast fretting fingers or with some quick picking
Note to self: Study that phrasing. Why does it sound so good right there?
Note to self: Can I figure out how he got that tone?
Note to self: What the heck were those notes? I don't think I have them on my fretboard.
Note to self: ......

It keeps me busy - in a very good way.

Nice collab guys!

Always fascinating to see with blues collabs just how many different interpretations and tones can be heard for what some people criticise as being simple music.
