Re: Original Backing, C Min Blues
Cheers!
That sounds really great!! Hitting some emotional peaks there sir.
I don't know what's happened on the Private Messaging. I can't see anything in my Inbox since over a year ago.
The one I sent you yesterday is not in the sent messages or in the outbox.
I tried to send you a PM this morning and that seems to have disappeared completely after sending.
That's the way everything is going this week. Ah well .... off to work now.

You've set the bar quite high for me... hope I can deliver
Maybe the last update changed something.
I'll check that. Pls look at your inbox, you might get some test messages...VikingBlues wrote: ↑Fri Mar 15, 2019 8:51 am I don't know what's happened on the Private Messaging. I can't see anything in my Inbox since over a year ago.

Re: Original Backing, C Min Blues
All up and running on Private Messages it seems. Cheers!
Just had another listen to the collab so far after a very long and annoying day of work.
It's looking good, glad I managed something despite the rusty memory and technique (and rusty strings), and the track goes up a gear nicely with the new second part.
Given that my PRS spent a couple of months in the attic in winter it's doing fine.
I look forward to hearing where the further contributions take us.

Well done, very well done
I started noodling around but will wait for BB's ideas before recording. I need to practice a bit more

Re: Original Backing, C Min Blues
Just to keep it up - maybe I can switch the position with BB so that I can record next weekend?
Re: Original Backing, C Min Blues
That's fine with me, 12bar. Here's my effort... Played on my '69 SG through my hopped up Fender BJ.

Nice'n'bluesy - in Blindboy tradition. Laid back and moody all at the same time - very nice!!!

Wonderful! Fits all together!
Now it's up to me...

Finally...
As always, as soon as I see a record button my ideas get lost and I fall into safe mode.
I really have to work on that.
Anyway, a lot of fun - thanks!

Very nice!
Listening to the whole thing, I can tell that I should have practiced more (or any...). This was fun. I miss these collabs and am glad that my bass player helped me participate. Now he wants the Trainwreck band to put together a backing track for a collab.

Re: Original Backing, C Min Blues
Your "safe mode" sounds good to me .... excellent work Gerd!
I've just listened to the completed track several times and it sounds like it works well to me.
A wide contrast in styles and a shame that I was rusty with lack of practice / playing - but that variety from the four players makes for an interesting listen.
I enjoyed this collab too. A long time since there's been one. Many thanks Tytl for creating the backing track and getting the ball rolling.

Here's my slap dash contribution 3:09 to 4:41 (it was late and I had to crib a couple of flat notes out of the mix LoL)
