Just got a "friendly" email about the article on Joseph Ferrante, which I deleted short after it was posted here:
Joseph Ferrante had his first guitar as a Christmas present when he was nine years old. Since then he's been learning all kind...(snip)
This was a mass post on many music forums around the world (just google the above quote), so I deleted it. Now I got the following mail:
Why did you delete the articles of GUITAR VIRTUOSO Joseph Ferrante, UGLY ENVIOUS SORT??? You should delete the articles of MUSIC NOTHING Eric Clapton, as
well as all other GUITAR NOTHINGS of your sort instead, HUMAN JUNK!!!!
Forum spam, what ever.........when I saw that post I also realized it was a mass post, figured eventually it would lead to someone selling something. I for one appreciate the great job you do Gerd, of keeping your forum on topic and civil. Ps.....and HBL :)
Thnak you.

Fools !
A long time ago, in the old forum : Registered: Mon, 27 Nov 2006. Wonder were the other old members all went....
Didn't care for the tone of the original post, and I wasn't about to click on the link. It never ceases to amaze me how some people will spew trash online that they would NEVER say in person. I make it a policy to never say anything online that I wouldn't say to someone's face.
That being said... Thanks Gerd for keeping such a great forum.

The content was sort of OK but the tone left me with a very uneasy feeling.
We have such a civilized forum here with the usual approach of someone new introducing themselves and their history, telling us about their rig, posting a sample of their playing and joining the discussions. That just works so well - and I enjoy it so much.

Absolutely right. That's the way it works best.
