Open mic blues update...
Open mic blues update...
Well, we still don't have a drummer or much of a set list, but we now have a good bass player. Last Monday was pretty fun. Mike, the bass player picks up everything we throw at him and runs with it. A good bass player is a treasure!
My wife came down and got a few pics. She tried to get some video, but it didn't come out. So, I will clog up the forum with yet another pic of me jamming. I am still going to try to get some audio of these sessions. Some of it is worth listening to.

Speaking of faces, I kind of like the expression on the bass player's face.
Can we get a "snarl" smiley?

I'm sorry, but if anyone was to win an EC look-a-like competition, it would have to be the guitarist from "Steve Ansel and The Jackson Street Band". They were the opener for BB King when I saw him last November. They're a cool little group, Steve Ansel's a bit of a creeper, but the horns and rhythm section were excellent.
Try looking around the 1:00-1:15 section in the video, I had to do a double take. He even plays a "Brownie"

I guess it is a pretty bad quality video and doesn't provide much except a quick glimpse. He looks like EC when he looked like this, http://correcttimezone.com/2009/03/imag ... apton.jpeg

in the steve ansel clip, I think the guitar player does look like ec, and then I saw the bass player. They look like twins don't you think?
