Got up this morning to this...

I am tired of snow! :wall: We are almost out of firewood too. It has been a long winter.
By the way... the first pic shows the studio that I built for Miriam. She does her reupholstry (sp?) business there, but I occasionally get to do music get-togethers there. The second one is looking the other way from the back deck at the mountains.

Some spring BB - I guess it looks nicer from a distance. Do you often get that much snow this late in the year.

What does look nice is the studio - doesn't look like a self-build.

No fun when you've got to chop your own logs for all your heating though. Hope you get a quick thaw.

Yeah, it's not that uncommon. I just hope the weather is nice on May 1st for our big party  .
Thanks for the compliment on the studio. It is the first big thing I ever designed and built from the ground up. Two other guys and I built it over the course of a fall and winter. Finished it last spring. Before the housing market tanked, that is what I did for a living.
Actually, the wood chopping keeps me in shape  (such shape as I am in  ) I kind of enjoy it, and it is a good excuse to spend weekends in the woods with a chainsaw  .

Wow! What a beautiful place. How warm does it get in the summer Blindboy?

Kinda need to like trees there I guess !!

Amazing place !!

A place where owing a decent pickup or a 4x4 would seem quite sensible....... .as opposed to the vast majority of the UK ( Scottish highlands excepted !) where owning a 4x4 seeems fairly pointless unless you just like bumping into other cars in the supermarket !!

Trees are our friends  They give us shade in the summer and keep us warm in the winter.
A 4 wheel drive pickup is a neccessity here. Gotta have it for going into the woods for firewood and for getting to work in the winter (a 64 mile round trip). When the roads permit (most of the year) I drive my "little car" which gets 38-40 mpg. (ok, my "little car" is a 4-door Saturn, but cut me some slack...this is the US...that IS a little car  :icon_whoknows: ) Earlier this week a rock almost as big as my car fell on the road. :yikes: They still haven't gotten it completly out of the way.
To get back to blues content, the 4-door allows me to take my guitar to work so I can pick on it at lunch.

Great place you got there BB. I love the trees. Can't see the detail from this distance but it looks like you did a super construction job. I have built a few major projects but have never attempted a complete building so I can appreciate what you have done.

BTW... great photography too. With a view like this each day it's no wonder you are inspired to play beautiful music. :music2:
