Sad news tonight... Just receive an email from Mpls, The One and Only Willie Murphy left us this morning. He peacefully died out of a pneumonia after 3 weeks in hospital this morning.
Great piano player, great song writer, amazingly powerful bluesman he also was the very first producer of the great Bonnie Raits! Good memories!
Lost a very good friend today, sad 'n blue...

listening "Mudd Puddle", "Monkeys in the Zoo"...

It's sad indeed when a musician dies and the world becomes a less musical place.

I'm not very familiar with his music, but a search and listen today shows a wide range of skills on show - very talented.

Rest in peace.

Another very versatile musician has left us. R.I.P. Willie.
