Tried to chop my finger off!

Got home from a potluck dinner/jam session with the TWBB and friends, was splitting kindling for the fire and whacked my left index finger with the machete. Much running around, washing, smearing with antibiotic ointment, and bleeding, later, I think the finger will stay attached to the rest of my hand. I just hope I can play tomorrow night. (I probably can... I don't think it will be as bad as the nailgun incident. )
I REALLY hate injuring my hands.

Whoww That must be hurt! It is the main problem whit guitar players who love to do outdoor activity and woodworking like guitar building. Sometimes it didn't work as it should. Hope you recover soon. We would not mis your contribution of playing over here. So Please be carefull.

BB. It's to bad and I do understand that a guitarplayer fear to loos a finger. It's not fun at all to be handicapt in any way. I lost two parts of two fingertips in a fly cuting mashine. It's not to bad but it feel strange to play with them.
I realy understand you and hope that you still can play in a few weeks or so.

Ohhh man, that gives me the creeps... and recalls some memories I thought I had put away far enough to stay out of my thoughts.
