It's great to read those comments you've made guys - thankyou, and I'll pass on those comments!
While it's not meant to be a "photographic" type of painting I think Sandra's really captured my look and something of my nature / soul when I play the guitar.
She seems really happy at the moment as she's discovered pastels are a medium that really suit her. I suppose a bit like playing guitar - if you can find the gear / genre that suits you it makes a huge difference to your progress.
This particular paintng of me was an early attempt with pastel pencils - she's since moved on to some high quality "pure" pastels and the results are stunning - the staircase is gradually filling up with her work. I think she likes the way that with patels the colour stays the same once you put it on the canvas, unlike paints which dry to a diferent colour.
