BT of the third kind.
A solitude backing of the third kind ;)
Today I dug up some recorded tracks, and threw together a almost(*) empty backing for those who would like to have a stab at the progression.
(*) I owned me the intro
Chords : something with open Am , Am with an added C and half a B7
BT is made out of the acoustic recording and 3 violin/chello tracks playing single notes of the chords in the progression, each track a single string. ( three notes make up a chord, remember

Thanks, but - it's too perfect for me - I would ruin it...
And I have to finish to odd one first.

Re: BT of the third kind.
HBL is definitely back on track. Melodic, soft and comfortable to listen to. I think this BT do not need a solo. It is so good to hear your playing..............
There is a catch with this, of course, when it comes to me. I understand that I do not have a chance to learn to play as well as you because my musical ear is not like yours.
It does not detract from the desire to listen to your expertise and your musicality.

Hey my friends, I don't recall 12bar ever being about "how wel"l someone plays" I don't recollect that happening ever :)
I can see people not being able to connect to a track. I have that happening over and over. But ruin a track... Gerd nah..... not happening.
Thanks for the compliments btw.
Michal, there is a new topic with my final version of solitude that might please you : viewtopic.php?f=6&t=2811

I didn't play the Strat since a few weeks but the intro made me start playing the Strat over the BT!
A very inspiring BT, thanks for creating it Hans
Tonelab Blackface Twin, Tube compressor and OD, Convolution Reverb in Audacity.
All mistakes included!

Incredible - you took over HBL's sound and continued his fantastic playing as if it was recorded all together.

Beautiful Chris.
I just had to listen to the start a few times to be sure where you took over the lead part - seamless indeed.

Re: BT of the third kind.
Hmm ...
I've hardly played these past few days. Very busy at work, not sleeping well, and too tired to think or play in the evenings.
Thought I'd have a go at this one now the weekend is here, and also have a bit more of a play around with the Zoom G3X at the same time ....
1) I do not try to pick up the beautiful tone of HBL, so the join at just short of 30 seconds will be very clear to the ears.
2) The version of solitude coming from my guitar and mind seems a much bleaker and icy solitude.
Think I need some warmth from the tubes in my SCXD to get a better version done - the quality of the backing track deserves better than this. Maybe later - and maybe the music will flow easier then too!

Off to cut the grass now!

Re: BT of the third kind.
This isn't as bleak as you think VB, I think it fits the backing pretty well. I agree about the warm tube sound though
My approach to the tracks lead was quite minimalistic, but your and Chris' way of playing lead is darn good !
btw : The lunatic cuts the grass

Re: BT of the third kind.
A good one, the only gripe is the volume of the guitar isn't loud enough.
Your playing fits really well the BT!
