beloved an´nowadays late Mother. :icon_whoknows:

This 12 bar boogie starts with a C7 and the walkin´boogie
bassline R played in the Mixolydian scale. Backcykling an´a ii-V7 in
the end of the turnaround.
The 12 bar progression :bb:
is reharmonized by a theoretical technique called Modal Interchange, MI.
So it sounds a bit more serius and darker than a major blues, wich it is. I choosed
to play the lead in E Phrygian scale for getting a little sader bluesier touch. And it
fits/sounds better to the reharmonized boogie too. :guitarist:

This is my own painting of my black Fender, Jazzmaster. It describes how that guitar
sounded more than how it looked.

As always not an easy listen  but it has a psychedelic touch. :peace:
Nice photo - could be from an Astrid Lindgren movie! Looks like a happy childhood.

Modal interchange, and I don't pretend to know what it is, seems to be producing a more complex set of sounds and harmonies.
"I Wish You Back Alive" seems to be taking me back to the 70s and some of the music coming out of the progressive side of music in Germany. Pehaps too the Phrygian element helps to please my ears - Phrygian is my favourite church mode. :D

The "Brave Explorers" is less complex on the ear and more accessible, though still goes to unexpected places sometimes.

I think which one I prefer would depend on my mood and how relaxed I felt! :icon_whoknows:
The first one being best if I'm feeling strong and the second if I'm feeling stressed.

PS - Your Jazzmaster painting suggests that your painting is just as uniquely styled as your music! Sowing a sound in a painting
