I'm off beam for any of those styles with this Ambient style though!

But what the heck - someone might like these. A mix of VST MIDI synth and the use of Paul's Extreme Sound Stretch software.
A basic form of the stretch software is included in Audacity but the full software has filters and various octave additions that can be applied.
It's a great backwash for adding synth to, and with the right choice of audio makes for easier mood creation.
Recommend headphones / decent speakers to pick up the bass frequencies.

This has a female solo singing voice stretched x 12, plus a Spitfire Labs Synth Pad, Astral Dreamer "Heavens Gate" (2nd half), and an Avatar ST64-"Bells of Destiny" nearer the end.
"Fading Days" - a long haul at 11 minutes I'm afraid.

Acoustic Guitar Stretched x 8. Plus Spitfire Audio Labs - "Scary Strings Cool", EW Harp 2, and Garritan Instant Orchestra "Full Choir Slow".
Interesting how guitar sound is dispelled with the lack of attack at the beginning of the notes, and how what seems like a continuous smooth sound ends up sounding a bit like a roughly bowed instrument.
I don't think they make films depressing enough to have this as the music.
