Nice work Tytl!!! :D
Hope you are safe and well in these strange and troubled times.

I'm hoping to have a look at trying something with this backing track soon.
With having retired from work last Thursday  I'm hoping I'll find a few extra minutes a day for musical activities.

Just picked up an acoustic guitar , tried to jam along a bit, got a bit baffled how things weren't fitting right.
Realised the guitar is tuned in DADGAD - had picked up the wrong guitar.
Might be something to do with the Prosecco drunk a short time back to celebrate my 65th!
With the guitar that was in standard tuning things made more sense - yes, definitely something to have a go at.

Thanks for posting. :D

Finally this old lazy git manages to at least try something with this F minor BT.

I felt a bit weary (must be all this hard work of being retired  ), so I've just used a VST plug in amp - BC Free Amp on a kind of Clean Drive type setting. Plus a wee bit of reverb.
I've done verses 1 (from 0:10), 3 (from 1:30) & 5 (from 2:47), to leave 2,4, & 6 free if someone wants to fill in the gaps and bring a touch of class to the proceedings! :D

Whatever the (lack of0 quality of what i played i did enjoy playing along - I'm very out of the routine / practice of doing this!

:music2: *******************************************************

Rather a contrast to my recent attempts at music ...
A DADGAD exercise in 3rds amended and evolved to make more of a tune out of it. Leaning to classical style a bit? :icon_whoknows:

Like the third go, very theatrical! what happened to the backing in the second and third version? Left out intentionally? Sounds good anyways!!

Wow - sounds as if you enjoy your retirement! Great playing, both guitar and MIDI. Is that the orchestral MIDI suite you mentioned in an older post? Could go for a movie score!

Back to topic, I'll take a part or two in the next days.

 Thanks Tytl and 12bar - I enjoyed getting back to some electric guitar. :D

I've a few more orchestral VSTs now Gerd.
So there's the Garritan orchestral Software (paid for), plus Magix own orchestral instruments built into the Samplitude DAW, plus a couple of free VSTs - BBC Symphony Orchestra "Discover" (from Spitfire Audio) and VSC02 "community" edition (From Versilian Studios).
Plus a number of VSTs with just 1 or a limited number of instruments.
Amazing how many good VSTs are out there for free.

Well, my plan was to use my new toy - a Sennheiser dynamic microphone - and add some acoustic notes to it.
Plugged into my Roland interface and used the recommended settings, but the signal is so low I can hardly hear anything during recording (using headphones to avoid recording the backing twice).

Oh - the joys of audio recording on a PC!! :wall:

You have my sympathy, but I'm afraid i have no suggestions ... as you will have seen in my posts here I just stumble about with these sort of issues with no real idea of what to do, in the hope of accidentally solving the issue!

Finally, a quick recording with my Sherry. Nothing special, just a short relax from work.
The last setting, for the chord arpeggios, uses a preset on my Zoom G1on pedal called - CORONA. :eye_rub:

Thanks for adding your guitar to that Tytl!

You provide such a good contrast at the same time as somehow leaving a connection.

Good too to have that more fluid contrast to my rather more pedestrian style (I'm fine with my being more pedestrian BTW :D ).
I also loved the way you played the final part  I like to leave that final part to whoever I do a collab with as it needs that added build up that I find is so very tricky to do.

I've downloaded the Am backing track from your fairly recent post Tom, and will play around with it a bit and see if something happens! :D
Hopefully not neighbours throwing bricks through the window.
