To ride off the beaten track as well with horses as on fingerboard eventually is my lot :icon_whoknows: .
Still mocking up the idea of mixing classical instrument timbre with some typical blues axe,
I'm began to mix modes and their relative chords...
Here is an attempt with the piano and an acoustic guitar...

Mode & Blues.mp3 - (7.2 MiB)

@Gerd
Argh! :shy: some "unwanted" finger noises from 2.0 to 2.25 :wink: .
Apology for that, I try to do better in the future :D

:naughty: Better practice before playing next time... :lol:

Seriously, I think it worked. If I count right you're still in the 12 bar scheme, it's bluesy relaxed but gets some nice adds from the piano. :clap:

You're right, most of the time one plays what's get first out his pocket, then you realize you need to be more trained as soon as you try to be more adventurous... :shy:

You count perfectly well sir! I really like the unbreakable rules of the blues, it makes me feel like a lawyer playing with the law...
How can I turn around :lol:
No doubt the Piano is the very best composer's friend...

Sorry - this is a very delayed response - we have a new puppy in the house and all other leisure and pastimes have disappeared. I've only played about 7 minutes of guitar in the last week and a bit and hardly ventured onto any forum.

I like the inventiveness of this recording and your attempts to find new ways of saying things musically do you credit! A very nice mix. :clap: :thumbsup:

Yes......the term "modal" immediately conjures up images of classical or fusion jazz! This is very well done.....its works so nice! tasteful and elegant.....lovely play indeed! A wonderful blues Sonata!
