Need an old yamaha amp

Post by HalfBlindLefty »

I almost forgotten about this one :oldie:
After I got me that old Yamaha G100b amp, I use as a cab for my Blackheart, I recorded a little thingy with the Yamaha itself.
My amp demo song had a few to many mhh goof-ups so I put the recording session aside.
Today I was curious how the amp would sound, so I reconnected the Yammy to it's speakers. :aha:
When I fired up my DAW I remembered the goofed up recording and loaded it.
Took me about 5 minutes to overdub the most prominent goofys :handshake: I just played some stuff around the original melody.

I coded the demo to mp3 and here it is :)

Ha, the reverb is acting up. The amp sounds nice, it can't stand it's ground compared to my CT. If I ever need a backup amp, it would do just fine.

I am all so the proud owner of an old Yamaha G 100 212 II I have take it apart and cleaned in and outside Prints, Pots, Jacks, Grounding, speaker connects etc. I am very happy with it. And i don't think i would sell it ever. I have used it on stage and with and without a floorboard. Unbelievable strong and clean just the way i like it.

Sounds sooooo nice - whatever amp is plugged in there's not much difference for me. Clear, soulful, crispy dreaming. :amp:

Good sounds from the old amp (helped a lot by the player and guitar mind!).

Lovely atmospheric mood playing. Great description by 12bar - "Clear, soulful, crispy dreaming".

You made me forget that it was "that" backing track most of the time - that shows how good your playing is HBL.

Very, very nice Pena.

You've tapped nicely into some Peter Green mojo there and produced some lovely tone and excellent choice of notes.
