Another Trainwreck band with guest.

Post by Blindboy »

This is the next one we did that night. We bobbled the beginning a bit... weren't quite sure what she had in mind, but she set us straight.
The result was this Bessie Smith tune. I think it came out pretty sweet.

On both of these, I am playing the Epiphone BluesHawk, with the neck mini humbucker, through my custom BJ. I like the sounds I am getting quite a bit.
I could have prettied up the beginning, and gotten rid of the bobble, but that's the way it happened... That's what it was. :icon_whoknows:

You do it well. Even better given that you never played this song before. I have never heard BB play as good as this time. Excellent.

A quick rehearsal on the fly and you were all there just fine!

Great results - sounds like you've been playing with Julie for years. Great singing voice and a great tone from your BluesHawk / custom BJ.

She has a strong voice, so I didn't hear any confusion at the beginning...

Thanks, guys. I thought this one came out pretty good. I was trying to get out of the way and just compliment the vocals.
On another note, I just got home from playing a local outdoor music festival in the mountains. All of our band was there, except the drummer, but there were three other drummers there. At one point we had eight players on stage, and four guitarists. We had a blast! :music2:
