Trainwreck band with special guest.

Post by Blindboy »

Last week, we had a singer from Nashville visiting the area, and she sat in with the Trainwreck Blues Band. Her name is Julie Christiansen, and she is great. The smoke from the Oregon and Washington fires was messing with her voice, but I thought she did a wonderful job.

This is an old Big Mamma Thornton song. We had never heard it, she just told us to do a shuffle, and this is what came about.

That's good backing you all did for a song none of you had heard of!

You're right about the wonderful vocals from Julie Christiansen - a class act for sure.

I like the way the ending was "engineered" too. All good stuff!

Professionals meet the professionals. I think in any case that it is professional to never have played and sung together and just make it.

Thanks, guys. Glad you liked it. We had fun doing it. I love playing behind a good female vocalist. We are kind of vocally challenged, so this was a real treat.
