Po' Bison Blues

Post by Blindboy »

This is the rainy season here. (finally! :phew: ) We are beset by thunderstorms and lightning and heavy rain, and it makes my big black dog, Bison, VERY unhappy. I have finally figured out how to get my Line6 widget to play through the stereo in real time, so I called up Audacity on the computer machine and tried to play something to divert him.
This is the Casino, through the Line6 doodad. I am trying to replicate the sound of a friends old Vibrochamp Fender amp turned up to about 8.

Another first take, one take, stream of consienceness, jam. This kind of thing could use a bass player to keep me in line.
As always, forgive the clams... they are inevitable when I play.

I enjoyed that stream of consciousness - thought you got a good groove going - very nice piece of pure blues.

I don't recall being able to get anything like that sort of sound when I had a Line6 something or other for my computer before last. Pretty convincing job you dialled in to my ears.

So ... now that you don't have to dodge fires you need to avoid lightning strikes! Shame about Bison - hope your playing made him forget the thunder for a while.

That's the spirit when a bluesman plays. Truly from the bottom of blues history. I think this song is so well done by you that I listen several times
Good job, BB ........

I play with you on my Hagstrom Viking Delux

I particularly like this kind of riffy and very-authentic-sounding blues As is usual with your stuff I really want to join in!!! Don't think it needs a bass ... but a bit of thumping kick-box percussion might add to it although frankly it's fine as it is. I'm sure it settled the dawg. One of ours got very disturbed by thunder but she finally got stone deaf which was rather a relief for her I think. Anyway, nice blues this, I envy your finger playing style.

Thanks guys, glad y'all liked it. This kind of rambling stuff is fun. Would be more fun with two or more. By brothers and I used to toss off stuff like this on the acoustics.
