Tuesdays rev
I haven't been playing much lately, I even had to skip band rehearsals so my right hand would get some rest.
But enough is enough
I just had to sitdown and record something, so I laid down a famous chord sequence and threw that into a loop.
Then I tried to add some lead lines. Mhh I'm not to dissapointed.
The pan fx was a bit to much, but that couldn't be helped, so I'll live with that.
Quick and short, Tuesdays rev ( The rev is for rVB)

Re: Tuesdays rev
rVB seal of approval!
The quality of the bends and the fretting shows no sign of difficulties from your right hand - hope that's down to the rest having helped rather than gritting the teeth and playing through the pain.
Melodic note choice is strong and there is a strong moody element to the recording - another excellent looping composition. Beatiful in fact!

What a masterful piece of music. Very sensitive played. This morning we again enjoyed HBL.

Re: Tuesdays rev
Thanks a bunch guys
No VB, my hands don't hurt permanently, and I did play for a couple of minutes (5-10) the last weeks. The pain (now) comes afterwards and is manageble.
Meanwhile I decided to make this into a full song, so I searched nd found me a editable backing.
I left out almost all the instrument tracks, leaving only drums and bass.
Played a couple of rhythm tracks and found out I have to play hrough the song a couple of extra times to get it right every time.
A small part can serve as a taster for the idea.
2 rhythm tracks panned left / right and one lead track dead center
See what you think

Good choice of backing - all works well together. Makes this listener wish the recording didn't stop so soon.

Thanks rVB ;)
Mhh, I tried to record a more complete version, but even while recording the rhythm tracks I kept making mistakes.
Decided to leave the backing for now and tried to lay down a lead.
To warm up I played a round and liked the lead so I pushed record... and with that lost inspiration.
Anyway, for those that are still interested, here's the errrr recording for today.

Glad it's not just me that can have a simple technical task as pushing a button destroy a creative flow. Though not glad it happened to you HBL.HalfBlindLefty wrote:To warm up I played a round and liked the lead so I pushed record... and with that lost inspiration.
What has been recorded IS still very good indeed - has a structure and a momentum to the playing that is very appealing to this listener.
Hopefully another day the inspiration will stay for the recording process.
