Fingerstyle noodlin'

Post by Blindboy »

Was fooling around with some presets on my Line6 widget and belched this out...
I HAVE to quit smoking (this time for real :motz: :wall:  ) so y'all are liable to get some late night guitar wierdness as I work through this. Fair warning...

Good luck with this - might make trying toplay a Bossa Nova seem easy in comparison. But I look forward to any late night guitar wierdness you want to post up for us all.

You got a real nice groove going on this one - I get the urge to pick up the guitar as I listen. Good one!

Thanks VB... It's pretty easy, an 8 bar blues, E to A flat minor, to A/A7 then E, C sharp7, F sharp,B7/9, E. then turnaround A7 thing...

Great tune Bb !!
The old music just pours out of you ...and its all good !

Good luck with the quittin the weed thing .....its well worth it IMO.

Tough for the 1st week or so ...and then gradually the cravings ease off ( I know !! .......I gave up smoking loads of times !! :D )

But its all a long time ago now .......and I can't even imagine myself smoking thse days.

So any more late night noodlings wil be much appreciated.

Like it !! Keep on noodlin' please!

I feel your pain on the smoking issue. Like Strummer07 I've quit several times (3). It's got to be one of the hardest things to make yourself do. Last time was close to twenty years ago though. Didn't make me grumpy for a real long time either.

Good luck with it! You'll do fine. Sweet (?) pain to drive the blues!

Keep noodlin'!

Great noodling! You sound quite comfortable with fingerstyle. Good luck on quitting, even EC has done this. I'm glad I've never started.

Maybe we should put some nice line6 presets to the backtrack section!

Thanks, Fellers. I appreciate the encouragement. Need it too, kicking a 27 year habit is tough. :wall: Ah well, as 12bar said in a thread a while back; + guitar_fire:: =

OT: Just a try - one of my favorite line6 settings as attachment, if it works it would be nice if BB posts his settings for this song!

JL Hooker.l6t
Line 6 Gearbox settings for JL tone
:high5: What a great idea 12Bar... I suspect several of us have the Line 6 interface and Pod Farm. I am always searching for the "perfect" tone. It would be fun to share our tones so others can try them out. This is a good one.

(we should open a new thread  )

Save your settings under a unique name (file -> tone -> save as), ending is .l6t
Default folder is "user", but it's easier to find if you use a folder you have created before and know where is it ("browse").
Then simply use the upload attachment tab below.
All this is for XP.
