Another good one!
How do you like the full drive?
It seems to be a bit more airy/powerful than the Tube Screamer.

Hey thanks allot guys!!!
I really like the Full Drive...use it when I am not using the tube screamer. The full drive has two channels, and the left side makes a super nice "clean boost" really adds some sustain and dynamics, without dirtying up too much until you want it. The right side channel is a boost, and then you can crank in a bit of dirt!!

I use the tube screamer with the strat almost exclusively if I am playing an amp.....although it starts to get overdriven sooner, just sounds so good....... really smooth. Although I mostly play in front of the computer these days, but I always put a pedal in front of the Boss effects unit, as I don't care for many of the overdriven models it has. Just select a clean channel, or bypass it completely and use the pedal for any overdrive/distortion.

Great advert for the Fulltone Fulldrive! Creamy and very natural sounding sustain. Well named pedal - it seems to have a very full sound .... hmmmm .... GAS is bubbling not far below the surface. Lets the dynamics of your playing through very nicley.

Is it the later MOSFET version or the original?

As for the playing it is very soulful and moody. Love those long held notes tailing slowly into silence. That great use of spaces again.

Ahhh ... sounds about right. All Boss effects on gear I've used have had me diving into edit to knock the overdriven settings down - even when I've been pushing myself into the (for me) higher gain territory.

Hey VB, yes it is the MOSFET version. I have had it about 3 years I guess. I actually really only started messing with it the last year or so though. My son and I bought the pedals together, he got the fulltone OCD, man, that thing will set you legs on fire with the amount of overdrive/distortion!! I got the Full Drive....I have only now, really started to mess with it of late having discovered what a great and versatile pedal it is.

I first started using it with the Ibanez hollow body to give a bit of sustain to the clean jazz sounds...and from there have liked it more and more!

Yeah,,to me, most effects boards/devices always seem a bit nasally sounding to me. I do like a few of the clean sounds/models,and there is tweed amp model that is kind of nice, with a pedal used in front of it. And also a Warm, clean sound that is what I use for the jazz stuff.
