VB goes a bit Up-Tempo
Was playing around with the e-band function on the Boss BR-80 recorder last night.
I did reduce the level of overdrive on the preset. I'll leave you to imagine what it was like originally ... but still didn't sound too much like me - so I hit record. Here's a (mercifully) short 2 minute snippet.
Once I'd managed to work out you needed software to extract the WAV from the e-band part of the BR-80. In the multitrack part you master a WAV file afeter recording.
download/file.php?id=2115
Letting the P90s on my PRS SE snarl a little bit for a change.

Now you is playing, . Sounds good and you seem to get a bit closer to freedom in youre playing. That's a good sign.
Regardles what you think of youre "original" style you have this too not only "old" VB. Keep up and loosen up and get closer to freedom in the art of guitar playing.
Keep on bending youre rules, VB. Explore whats beond youre original VB style.

Yes VB, now you're rolling
Sounds great, good notes, nice cruchy & edgy tone.
And like you wrote, it ani't "normal" you.
Keep it up

Re: VB goes a bit Up-Tempo
Thank you all for listening to my little upload, and I'm very honoured by all these positive comments guys!
Though I have to admit to some confusion within myself about this recording. When I mentioned ...
I can sort of appreciate its bluesiness. Perhaps I need time to get used to the idea of playing in this way with that level of gain and chrunch.
I certainly respect and value highly the views of you all ... more so than my own views when it comes to blues.
So I have no problem with accepting that I'm not hearing it right. It is good to know from your comments that I'm playing it right. Sad though - would that I could enjoy listening to it too.
Maybe playing regularly with this e-band facility will help me?

... I really was being serious. I did enjoy playing it - but I'm a long way off enjoying listening to it afterwards.VikingBlues wrote:(mercifully) short

Woke up this morning
thinking what the hell?
Woke up this morning
I've come out of my shell
I've got a hunch
that this gain and this crunch
will be here for a while
or at least until lunch
Thanks Tytl.
I think this might be habit forming. The e-band facility on the BR-80 is taking me places I don't normally go.

Re: VB goes a bit Up-Tempo
Just back from vacations and I discover another playing from VB that is really nice.
I like it a lot and I really think you should explore in depth this sound and feel
