My Dad, live....
My Dad was my main musical influence. He was one of the top two session men in California in the late '60s, two of his students have won Grammys, and he has given me the best musical advice anyone ever gave me. I was a fool, I grew up with one of the best guitar teachers in the world, and never got serious about the guitar until I moved away from home.
A couple of day ago, Dad and his old band from the late '50s , early '60s got together in Miami Oklahoma and this is one tune from the concert that my brother Parker recorded on video. Remember, Dad hasn't played much guitar for 30 years, and is very arthritic...

Great viewing and that's good music-making going on there despite the lack of practice and arthritis - can't keep a good musician down!
Like the picture - one to treasure, as is the video. Thanks for letting us see these.

Great post, Bb! I really enjoyed the pic and the video.
You've definitely made up for getting a later start on your guitar playing.

How great is that! What a dude. I wish I could buy him a beer, if that ain't the real deal I don't know what is. Family pride must run very high.

Yup, must be some great memories BB. The talent pool runs deep in your family! Has he ever played at the open mic night with the train wreck? Bet it would be fun :)

Thanks for all the comments, guys.
I talked to him on the phone recently, and he was pretty stoked about the whole thing. There is supposed to be audio and video that may become available. I hope to get a copy.
