See if this works...

Post by Blindboy »

This should be the latest version of "Stormy Monday"...
http://soundcloud.com/blindboy1-1/stormy-monday
From last Monday... I am singing and playing the Strat through the Tweed Fender.
This post is mainly to see if I got the Soundcloud thing down right.

TWBB and Stormy Monday are a good match - nice to hear another version. This one's a nicely relaxed one - blues with a velvet touch ..... great recording!!!

Is it me being thick (probably! ) or is there a button anywhere on soundcloud (loke there is on boxnet and soundclick) to download a recording you like? :icon_whoknows:

Great sound, particularly impressed by the vocals ... you should do more of them! Is guitar it all strat ... asked because there's a tonal change at around 5 minutes in? Also same question as VB regarding downloading. Like live band sounds like this, TWBB works together real well.

PS: Download is AFAIK only possible with a script or browser add-on (like those for YT)

PPS: Great playing!

Thanks for all the compliments, guys. :shy:
I guess I should try boxnet so y'all can download... (flattered that you want to...)

I'm on the Strat, the guitar you hear at about 5:00 is DeaconBlues, I think he is on his Sheraton. (to good effect  ) I come back on lead at around 6:00 or so. By the way, I am working on more vocals, I just have a LOT of trouble remembering words while I am playing :wall:
I could have cleaned it up and gotten rid of my bobble at the beginning  ,but that's how we played it :icon_whoknows: .

I wasn't sure if that was me, or if it was a recording from later in the evening. Sounds too slick for me, but I'm sure that's all due to Poppa G String's mixing talents. Thanks for the kind words, though.
That boy ain't right...,

but he's big on the North Sea Coast of Germany.

I thought this was great in all departments, in short the real deal and I loved the guitar playing. Exemplary mixed major/minor blues.
