Showing my roots again!!

Post by alaskabluesguy »

Man quite a productive Sunday! This forum has seen some great music loaded this weekend!!!

I have been playing but I am pretty stressed due to the demands of tax season. 2 more weeks!! Yesterday, I needed to release some pressure and a guy on the Les Paul forum was wanting me to load a clip with my Black Plague (a really good RAT clone by CMAT Mods) pedal. Anyway, I decided to kill two birds with one stone so to speak!

This is a 7.5 minute :yikes: Led Zeppelinish kind of backing track that I have been enjoying. I leave the pedal on the same setting but vary the tone/volume controls and pickups to create texture, dynamics and interest. By the end we have delay and compression going as well. I think it sounds great in headphones as the context of the backing track is more apparent. Enough yakkin'!

Yep, definitely some Zep here!!!! Sounds good, nice tone and some great rock/blues licks. You have a little Jimmy Page influence showing!!! I really like it.

Very nice rock/blues playing indeed.

That is how to play a Les Paul - I never could get the hang of it! Hope it all helped the stress levels - should have done I think. :D

Really nice tone and playing, it sounds great.
The treble pickup is singing when used with distortion. :D

Absolutely blinding playing AB. That is guitar work of a very high standard. Note choice, phrasing, tone and above all feel puts this beyond reproach. Superb!

Ah shucks, you guys are too sweet!! :shy: :shy:

Seriously, thanks for the kind words. I love to play like this! I work on lots of different stuff but this is definitely me and the style I have developed over time.

Now, the track is long and I was started running short of things to say. It really needed a blond, curly hair bloke to sing some "ooo baby, ooo baby" and "uh, uh, uh!"
