Hi all!
A while ago, I installed my Floyd Rose tremelo arm on my Carvin CT624M (Torrance, for those who know her), and have been mucking about with using it. I am hardly a Jeff Beck, and at first I did not produce much in the way of noises that were pleasant, many sounding like dying animals! But now, I think I have gotten a slightly bit better, and so I bravely present this piece called "Funky A", for it is a cool up beat, funky blues jam in A, that I found on a free backing track sight on the net. I just let loose some of my happier feelings, to counter act the pieces where I have been moody.
Hope you enjoy!

Happy it is, and to my ears it sounds fine
play guitar like the wind, mysterious but definitely present....

Happy - yes! And a good thing to try something new and different - helps to stop us getting stale and dtuck in a rut.
The again ... only Jeff Beck is anything like Jeff Beck.StratLover2 wrote:I am hardly a Jeff Beck
Love the sound picture you've put in my head there!StratLover2 wrote:and at first I did not produce much in the way of noises that were pleasant, many sounding like dying animals!
An improv a day keeps the demons at bay!

Thanks VB!
I figure that if I keep trying new things, my musical knowledge will expand. I've been lately experimenting with playing over funky/strange grooves like this to expand my lead playing.
I am just starting to get comfortable with the tremolo arm, and I am using it more as an accenting tool really more than anything else, not relying heavily upon it, just to add some color to the tune.
