A n update: I was putting the parts together, and nearly finished. I need to mount the machine heads and build a custom system for the strap. the spacing on the top nut, and all the small things to made it look fine

End of the next week i will have it finished, and mad some sound samples. Its is not my guitar and i am a no no on a lapsteel so don't expect a concert. I will ask Harald to play something nice to put in here.

Today i put the strings on 0.14 tuned in open E en wauww sounded great. A lot of sustain I will try to get you some sound samples.
The last thin to do is made a custom strap for it. The mounting on the head and body need to be so that the connection cant move and made noise. The neck has such a excellent acoustic that you hear all most every thing that hits the instrument

When is a picture finished? a question that i ask my self more than once
It is the same for a guitar you build fore some one else.
A few days ago i decide that the ans where is When it looks good, sounds good, and is as playable as possible

Of all the solutions i had to deal with in this project was the playability the biggest. The instrument was nothing then a YT clip and a picture.
no drawing, sizes, ore solutions available. I have to invent the wheel again some times. Of all the instruments i have build the last years, this is the most extreme.

The last problem i had to solve was the strap. Better to say, the way it work out the tensioning when you hang it on.

1e it has to be balanced, stable, twist body wise, reliable, let you free to use the main functions like tuning, and above all give you enough comfort to keep it play fore a while on stage.

2e it has to be white in my opinion

3 must be soft and comfortable because the broken back of the owner.

It have take some time but i think i was able to made it work out, but have to made it my self.

Yesterday i hooked my caravan after the Hippo ( AKA Landrover Freelander ) and drove to the place my friend Harald, lives.
His new home is 840 meters from this campsite This morning we meet and he had the first look on the V Skreemr.

Whit his cellphone we take a clip and put it on the Internet. The quality is not so well because the less of light in his music practice cabin. But the sound is a good example of what the V can in the hands of some one who is trained to play on a lapsteel.

Tel me what you think of the inventions that i have made, and if i had passed the test of "Builder Of Strange Instruments"
