Can't you see what youre doing to me 2

Post by MichaelRobinson »

Just a blues. :music2:

Edit: I don't seem to get it right with pauses. I practice pauses but still I don't get it right. It pisses me off.
I need help with pauses. Can anyone play to the BT with pauses so I can hear how It sounds ?

In my ears it sounds great. Do not think you need more breaks. I would be happy if I could play like you.

I'd like to add my voice and be third on the list. Sounds good to me.

Though there are much better players of pauses than me on 12bar - so I may not be the best judge.

Just to prove this - take a listen - please bear in mind this is not in my usual style / type of blues playing at all. I'm only just starting to get any grip on this higher gain / tempo stuff. :shy:

All this more energetic playing isn't half making the ends of the left hand fongertips black from the PRS neck - still has some of that new guitar gunk coming off it.

I don't hear any greater use of pauses in my effort that suggest you got anything wrong. I can also imagine the singer glaring at me for trampling on some of his words.

Nice job Michael. You're fitting your playing in around the vocals very well, and your phrasing is quite good.

Thanks guys

And thank's VB for youre version of this song. I can say the same about me as you do about you. The singer, Albert King, I's probebly not to happy about beeing disturbed of a guitar when he sings. It's allso very difficult not to play over some of his singing. It's a difficult song in that way.

I think It's easy to play if one sings too. Than one know better how it works with call and response.

Yes guys. I am hard on my self. I have allwas been that way. . I'm hard on my self because I can hear but not play what I hear in my head. I' aiming on direct contact with my guitar but I failure.

Edit: I am a member in a Swedish guitarforum and guys/gals are a lot mor critical than people in this forum. Maby it's in the culture but that's just a guess.

... and that's a fine example there from yourself Tytl.

It iS a fun BT and, as usual, it's fascinating to see how much of an individual stamp different players can put on the same song, even when their playing choice has to be contstrained / moulded by the same set of vocals.
