Lazy Bone Blues (Without dist and more pauses)

Post by MichaelRobinson »

I have uploaded this song before but now I have remade the solo. Now it's without dist and I try to add more pauses to it.

Good stuff Michael, I enjoyed that. Getting off the time for some of the phrases also adds to it. Its the backing tracks job to stick to the time rigidly so as long as you can recover to the beat you can climb off it all over the place. Well done!

Love it - you're proving how less can be more very well!

I've just compared it to the earlier version. I find the guitar sound on this new recording is bigger than when it had more distortion on it - there's also an airiness to it - more sense of dynamics - light and shade, loud and quiet.

Those long gradual fading notes you've dome too are beautiful.

Good version...
VB is right... your guitar sound is fatter on this take. nice phrasing and dynamics. Your playing has gotten noticeably more tasteful and dynamic since you first started posting here.

There is one thing that drives me crazy about this forum.

When I think I understand what a certain player can do and I understand how to measure my level of skill against theirs and I get comfortable that I know what I will hear from them - that is when they surprise me with a new sound, a new feel, a new level of skill. It puts me completely off balance and challenges me again.

MR - your playing continues to surprise me - and impress me. I like this one very much and I have downloaded it to study it.

I agree with BB - your postings continue to show better and better playing.
