Hi Michael ... opinion on what? Picking up on what 2WOB said ... indeed playing and singing at the same time is pretty hard, but then that's not what Albert King here does ... he sings a bit then plays a bit at the end of a verse line (or whatever)... rarely is he doing both at the same time. That sort-of makes life a bit easier if you're intending to have a go at this tune.

Yes. Albert play a bit and sing a bit. Not at the same time. I try to play when the singer not sings but it's dificult, yet. I will record and repeat to record until I don't play when the singer sings. That's the goal with this track.

Look on it as a call and response thing... Makes it easier.

Oh yes. That's what i TRY to do. I'm not use to call and answer exept a litle bit of my own poor singing. I'ts interseting with call and answer and I will practis it. It gives me joy to do so, but as I said, I'm not use to this. :phew:

Hi Michael
Really like your playing over this BT.
I think that you are doing a good call and response playing with Alberts singing, a bit of overlap between song and guitar is OK.
You will find that in many recordings.
And the guitar sounds close to Alberts guitar sound.

Hi Michael,

I think your playing sounds very good. You don't give yourself enough credit for your ability with call and response.

I would be interested to know how you get the tracks you are playing over. It sounds like it is really Albert's voice. Is it possible to buy Albert King recordings with the lead guitar missing?

Thanks, Kalle - that looks like a great site. I didn't know there were backing tracks available with the original singer on them. Great stuff!

I agree 100% with Kalle and MojoJim. To find a tone in your playing close to Albert King is to your great credit. To capture a good part of the style of such a blues great is something to be really pleased about too.
