After the latest Win10 update (1803) it's nearly impossible to record with my Line6 gear - cracks, drop-outs, noise is coming from the speaker.
Anyone with the same experience?
Google says some apps try to grad the audio driver, but I found no working solutions...
Sometimes even the playback of audio files, videos or Youtube hangs.

Re: Windows update 1803 problems
Sorry to hear that Gerd, and I'm afraid I can't help.
I'm using Windows 7 .... and a copy with auto updates switched off too.
Hopefully someone with the same problem will come up with a workaround and publicise it so it shows up on Google.
Good luck!

Re: Windows update 1803 problems
Just back from holiday, did all latest Win10 updates and a BIOS update and - it works again!
Don't know why, but no more drop-outs, no cracks, nothing

Good news for you!
Hope you had a good holiday.
I remember when Vista did an update and all my homeplugs that I use for a network stopped working.
A bit of an expensive free update was that!
Happy recording.

Re: Windows update 1803 problems
OK, so I wanted to record some Blues for lost dogs (see other thread), but...
Next Win10 update, this time other problems. The cracks are back, I also get a second tone half a second later and a semitone deeper. Seems to be related to 44.1 kHz, but all settings are OK, both system and line 6 in and out set to default CD (44.1) quality. I give up on Line6.
Put my Duo Capture mk2 back and installed Amplitube free for testing.

Good luck with the testing Gerd.
It does seem like you have a losing battle trying to get Line6 behaving.
