What we're using now...

Post by Blindboy »

So, we've got some new members, and it's been a while for the regular members, so....
What is your go to rig right now. I know mine has changed lately. I was using the Casino and one of the 4/10 tube amps that I have, now I am using the FrankenStrat and the '52 Gibson ES-125 through my much modified Fender BJ III. How about a picture thread?

This was taken at our latest gig at the Manhattan Project, a resturant and bar in Los Alamos where we have been building up a bit of a following.

Hi
I've heard you play on your old time guitar from Gibson, then together with your band. It would be interesting to hear how the stuff sounds solo. So that you upload a few examples without other instruments are included. I'm a bit curious.

No new gear for the last years...
The next thing will be a new interface - for sure. And it will be no Line6! :naughty:

Funny Old world innit. Ahhh - already said that on another thread - must stop repeating myself. :D

The second picture is worryingly already out of date. Excludes a Dulcimer. Yes ... honestly, a Dulcimer! The picture will be even more out of date in a few days when the birthday rolls round and the number of my acoustic instruments will reach 7. I've just sent a faulty Tenor Mandola back to Thomann too, so if the refund goes on a replacement that'll be 8 acoustic instruments.

A dulcimer, eh, VB? One of our regular jammers and a good friend is a champion dulcimer player. He can even play the blues on it.

Not managed blues (yet). Only had it a few days and mainly end up with a sort of hippy / druggy 60s slightly sitar-ish sound of music!
Thankfully bried 50 seconds test : download/file.php?id=2803

Too late for GA I think! Hopefully all adds to the fun of multitrack mixes. The Dulcimer is tuned to D which is what a lot of the Celtic music I'm playing is in - so maybe there'll be a place for it.

One VERY cheap Dulcimer. From the Romanian Hora factory.
