Help me

Post by elborgo »

I've been out travelling for 7 months. Without a guitar! I just got home and now I have people telling me that I need to get back in shape. There's gigs to get ready for.

I play lead guitar, or melody, in a cover band. We play everything from Clapton, Creedence, Hendrix, Bruce Springsteen, Rolling Stones, The Band, Tom Petty, Johnny Cash, Lynyrd Skynyrd etc.

My job is to hide behind the rhythm guitarist, but lay down an amazing solo when the time comes.

I need help. My gitar isn't even tuned yet. I need words of enouragement. My fingers are slow and lazy. They don't feel fast and gentle anymore.

Lessons both here and elsewhere is greatly appreciated. =)

The woodshedding part is on the way. Got 2 hours in already.

Been looking at justinguitar for a lesson on Crossroads. Have been playing for some years now, and can't play one single solo all the way through.

hehe... that is an excellent breakdown. Thing is, I'm spoiled.

I need a video close up on youtube, and a loop in guitar pro.

one day I'll get those ears to do the work. But it's hard.
