I would like to stop improvising to backing tracks so much and start learning some basic blues rhythm techniques...............any suggestions on what to start with????

Some very basic stuff is right here (see upper menu), also a bit hidden in the album pages, i.e. unplugged or the RJ sessions. There are some good books for fingerstyle Blues guitar available, too.
