Next Time You See Her

Post by Slowhand68 »

Hello everyone. Thought I would post something to get this section of the new forums going. I'm trying to figure out the chords of "Next Time You See Her", from the Slowhand album, but I'm having some difficulties. Can anyone please help me out?

Cheers

Stefano.

I just took a listen, and I think I've got it figured out- but (Gerd?) how much am I allowed to post without anyone having to worry about copyright or anything? I think I can say that it's mainly a G to C sequence, with a few Ds in there. If I can post more to clear it up, I will!

A chord sequence is nothing critical... as long as you don't include complete lyrics.

All right, I'll try and keep the lyrics to a minimum (feel free to pare them down if I've put in too many).

The intro chords I think are G D G, and then it goes to C for a measure, then back to G and G D G again (that's two measures) and then back to C- I think you repeat the G D G C G G D G sequence four times, but don't play the G D G at the end of the last time.

Then:

Code: Select all

          C G
She's got everything..................... ask for.
       C G
She is lovely, ................. morning star.
G D G C G
She is so beautiful, ............... sunset.
        C G
She got everything, ............... old car.

Chorus:

G D G C G
Next time you see her, ............. I love her.
G D G C G
Next time you see her, ............. I care.
G D G C G
Next time you see her, ..............I love her.
G D G C G
Next time I see you .................... beware.

C G C G
I'm ............ to warn you that ..................get hurt.
C G C D G
I couldn't ........ last love, so how could you be her first?
C G C G
I want to tell you, buddy, things ................... rough.
 C G C D G
I know ................ flirting, but I think that I've had enough.

    C G C D G
And if ............. again, I will surely kill you.
    C G C D G
And if ............. again, I will surely kill you.
And just repeat the parts as needed. For the solo, I think the progression's the same as the intro.

Hope it sounds all right! :music1:
