I have often wondered why they say "Happy Easter". It's a bleak weekend.
Jesus died and was buried. What's funny about that?
It is clear at one is totally cut off from their roots and including the faith they grew up in, it's fun with rockets and firecrackers.
I find it hard to imagine Easter fun and happy.
Easter is a Christian holiday.

Happy Easter from me! :D

Michael - I guess the saying "Happy Easter" is due to celebrating the resurrection from the dead of Jesus, three days after he was executed, rather than the bleakness that envelops the first three days.

Though I'd feel in more of a celebratory mood if I didn't have to work Friday and Monday.

Maby you am right. Maby people calebrate Jesus resurrection from death. I on't know.
I see a man who was young in his heart and rebel. For this he was crucified. He was uncomfortable and it cost him his life. I think this is very wrong.
