This one from Chris also has glitches during playing on my side, while michael's latest upload doesn't
viewtopic.php?f=6&t=3214 (Chris)
viewtopic.php?f=6&t=3405#p21951 (Michael)

An older one from Michael however does have the glitches
viewtopic.php?f=6&t=3220#p21063

Even older from VB, sorry, glitches
viewtopic.php?f=6&t=3124

This one from 25-2-2015 from Michael has glitches
viewtopic.php?f=6&t=3391

This one has me doubting, I do hear something but not the same as the glitches in other songs that are all to clear
viewtopic.php?f=6&t=3401

Sure you have no recoding active ? maybe during the upgrade ? the upgrade seems to be the turnover date

Yes, 100%. The only action was a backup and restore into a new directory. I'll take a closer look, maybe a re-upload.

If you have any of the "glichy" files stored locally please do a file compare. Something must have happened to some files during the ftp process.

FWIW I can confirm that the VB one mentioned above (viewtopic.php?f=6&t=3124) has glitches in it that aren't in the original.
Here is the original:-

Re-uploaded all 2512 mp3-files. I noticed a size difference in some files. Strange...

Below is a phone recorded upload of how the first example above sounds right now.
Guess you may have to download it to be able to listen though.

Too strange, I'll need some extra time. Something went wrong during the backup, although files were ftp'd binary one after the other.
:wall:  :icon_whoknows:

At least all new uploads sound OK.

OK, looks like the ftp backup from the server before handled the mp3 file as ASCII files, so they were crippled (although I always check binary option). I restored most of the files using an older backup, so they finally should work now except for those uploaded after this date and before the forum update.

The mp3's I've checked sound just fine to me now.
I'll check a couple of my own older ones, wait.

Yes, Even the upload in my HBL screwed up big time - topic sounded just like it did back then.
Thanks for the effort and time Gerd !!
