The Friendly 12bar Blues Guitar Forum

Greetings everybody on 12bar from Hawaii

My name is Cleveland. and I been playing since this past April 2012 so I'm still new in playing . I have a Gibson Maestro single cut guitar, it's made to look like a Les Paul Junior. I started wanting to learn rock but I figured that i should learn the blues first because I wanted to learn the roots of guitar and the roots of where I was born (Mississippi). I'm 22 hence the little lemon. When I told my dad I wanted to learn the blues he got ecstatic and didn't hesitate giving me names from his blues collection. At first I only likes Jimi Hendrix blues but now I'm listening to people like T-Model Ford and Brownie McGhee. I do have some of the basics down but there are still some points where I need some advise on. I do look forward in talking with everybody and receiving helpful criticism.
