Hello from Texas

Post by tele8156 »

Hey everyone, new guy here. I found my way to this forum by way of the Dolphinstreet forum. I love the Blues and have been playing my version of it for almost two years on 6 string, although I played bass in a past life about 25 years ago. Looks like a fun place to hang out. :D

:welcome:, Tele, from Round Rock, Texas - just a few miles north of Austin. We have a few more Texans on this forum as well.

I also played bass in a rock band in college about....Yikes!!....40 years ago. Started learning blues on the 6 string almost 3 years ago.

You will find lots of excellent folks on this site - great music as well. Lots of players here at all different levels of skill.

Hi Tele
and Welcome from Rickmansworth, in Hertfordshire, England
Doesn't sound the same does it ??
Why do American places sound Cool and Bluesey ..and work great in songs too :icon_whoknows:
Apart from "Streets of London".... .which was y-e-a-r-s ago ....... Brit places and expressions rarely seem to feature in songs.

I digress !! :D

You've found "THE" place on the web here Tele ..Enjoy !

¡Hola! and welcome from Spain (doesn't sound bluesy either!). Your site link is very interesting, spent a while there, will return later. Nice.

Well - you've had messages from just about everywhere else in the world - so :welcome: from the east coast of scotland - the wind battering against the windows and a warming glass of malt whisky needed urgently. Great forum for all things blues - hope you enjoy it here. :D
