Hard times again - that beautiful da~##*@@!#mn oven contaminated my living room (where my guitars and PC are) totally with flue gas.

Look like I'm very sensitive to this sort of smoke (never been a smoker, too). I have to wait until it's gone, then I have to analyze why the air comes through the chimney into the room and not the other way around - it's really blowing into the oven (although the chimney-sweeper checked and calculated and everything is OK, one the paper).

So - no recording possible. :tears:

That must be so frustrating having thought you'd crossed the finishing line after all those months. :wall:

Good luck with getting it all sorted soon.

I wish I could - meteorologist say it's gonna be a long, cold winter in Europe :wall: (not that I believe in long-term forecasts...)

Last week over here in Holland it was so cold that the farmers where milking Ice cream right from the cows. I hear a ring go to the front door and look at two polar bears asking for money to buy a extra winter coat. :tease: I hope it will starting to rain hot water tomorrow. :chicken:

12 bar

hope you are sorting your flue out OK ......that must be really frustrating ...especially in this weather and with Christmas around the corner.
I am no expert but it sounds like you need a different cowel or baffle on the top of the flue .....that can help get the chimney 'draw' right.
Your Chimney fella should know all about that stuff though. ( My neighbour has just had a wood stove installed and the chmney cowell is quite unusual )

Golfxzq .........is there any part of life where Bud Light does not feature ??
Great pic !! tks

Update: everything is working well, the oven is hot enough for the whole house, nice fire, no smoke EXCEPT we have eastern (= cold) wind :wall:

Eastern wind creates a small vacuum in that room, so the smoke will not take it's regular way through the chimney. It's a matter of house design/chimney position, and unless I put a ventilator into the chimney :eye_rub: I have to live with it. :icon_whoknows:

So - only fire if no eastern wind. Better than nothing at all. :peace:

Must be the Bud Light Year. That only works if you say it like you've got a cold. Heating to infinity and beyond.

That really looks homey - Christmas is coming! :xmas_1:

We're also burried in snow. And the gulf stream seems to fail this year - it's way too cold for December.
