Re: Audacity Question
Let's split it into separate problems... Program: you only need one instance of Audacity (although any other may work) to play a BT and record at the same time. Be sure to have "preferences - recording - Overdub" checked. If you hit the record button, it will play the BT and save your play...

Short update from another PC...
Guitars still having a hard time!
Anyway, to the new members. I'll try to post from time to time, if I have access, but it will take some more days to finish.

Re: And now for something completely different...
If it does, 12bar,feel free to delete it. That would be a shame - I don't think it will give problems. Playing is really great, mastering the most complicated thing (at least to me) - keeping the steady rhythm while picking those neat little runs. Keep on! BTW - there's no need for tequilas ...

Re: Modes
If you want to know if a chord fits to a scale, you can also use the scale generator on this site ( http://12bar.de/scale_generator.php ). Taking Weelie's example first choose chord - F - major, click the remember button and submit. Next choose scale - G - mixolydian (or any other you want to check)...

A bit late, but:
Sometimes angriness (about whatever...) results in greatest playing, we know this from EC, too. + =
Really nice variation on tone!

Re: Teach Me A Lesson
[from exile] Lessons are a very personal thing IMHO. Some people can learn a lot from a GOOD teacher, while others will loose their interest when learning all fretboard notes until tomorrow 7 pm. If you choose to stay self taught, you need a lot of discipline if you want to step forward. You know wh...

Hard times
As mentioned before, I've started renovating my house, so I can't play guitar (only a bit acoustic) and can't connect to the Internet at home. The cable is cut :tears: , on the photos you can see the freshly mounted chimney (fuel oil is getting expensive, gas not available, it's a country house) and...

Re: My Gibson ES-339
Jim, learning to play and learning something about the technical side of a guitar, which strings, which pickup, what works well etc. is an ongoing process and that's what makes guitar playing such fun, at least for me. I often feel helpless listening to EC's perfect mixture of tone and note. I know ...

Re: What does it take to be a great blues singer?
Well, I wish I could sing, but I'm absolutely not talented, and while you can train hard to get a voice for opera or general classic music, it's hard to do this for Blues. You need passion, sure, you can ruin your health with whiskey and cigarettes, but your main voice is to a big part in your genes...

It's a bit quit currently, I had to fix some board software errors, but I'm still trying to get a decent contribution to HBL's last upload.
