Nice one BBP. Looks in great nick and at a good price too.
Look forward to hearing it!
Is it the one with the coil tap? I seem to recall there being something like that which was different to the usual studio.

Re: El Mano's Indian Summer
This backtrack and the excellent playing I heard on the track of the first post made me feeling like noodling around with that one. Here is my take.... :away: http://12bar.de/community/download/file.php?id=262 Ooops - was I wrong big time. As in "(a) I think everything that could be said has b...

Re: El Mano's Indian Summer
Now you got me to feel little ashamed of myself VB. :D Analyze what you are saying : :icon_whoknows: (a) I think everything that could be said has been done now (b) it's set the bar too high for this BT. I took the easy way out :shy: and used the existing leadtrack from Leaving spaces for this one ...

Re: El Mano's Indian Summer
By whatever means and magic the two of you have come up with a startingly (or "Starlingly"?!) good collab.  I had been wondering about trying to do something with your original post ElMano but (a) I think everything that could be said has been done now, (b) it's set the bar to...

Re: Two Chord Challenge
I like it a lot B2M. If anyone "cheated" it was me bunging in vocals - there's no way I could have just done guitar (and just one guitar at that) for 5 minutes. There's very fluent and fluid playing in your version, great imaginative playing, and it's very bluesy too which I fou...

Re: Strat Project Diary
That tint on the neck is beautiful. I must prefer the darker tints versus the clear ones on maple necks. Matches the body better and it gives it some great shine. Thanks LB. That was what I thought when I saw it. Can't wait to hear her sing. I'm keeping everything crossed she does sing and not make...

Re: Two Chord Challenge
I like the Bird cage tune. I even tried it at 150% speed on Windows media player (no, it won't make it into bird noises, as it stays is the same pitch, just speeds up), to make it more poppy. Weelie - that's a great idea. The Robert Johnson treatment!! I don't know whether it is just my reco...

Re: Strat Project Diary
I'd be interested in the total cost of the guitar when finished, as I harbour thoughts of such a project. Remind me at the end if I forget to say. Though if it sounds rubbish I might not want to say! :shy: Keep up the good work! (ex-teacher talking). Beats "Must try harder". :big_s...

Re: Strat Project Diary
Cheers Strummer. It's an odd mixture of feelings of bafflement, rage, sudden realisations, and satisfaction. Oh .. and sore hands. The neck is now on to the extent it lines up OK for the bridge. Until I get the strings on under tension I can't be 100% sure on intonation and s...

Re: G Major Pentatonic (Two chord challenge)
Mighty idea... did some testing... but I run to a problem... after 45 secs I had no more ideas to play  So how looooooong's the BT, or will it be a team work? I hope it's a TW  Pena It's over 4 minutes. :yikes: If you want to start one off - I'll join in and we can see if anyone...

Re: Strat Project Diary
HBL, Pena, LzyBlue - thanks. :D I hope desperately that it fits together easily for neck angle, intonation, etc, without too much messing around - I'm not keen on a long struggle. :wall: It had better sound half decent too - although it won't cost as much as a MIM Strat it will be quite a bit pricie...

A neck has arrived - honey gloss finish - new, "B" Grade due to finish "imperfections" which are just about invisible. I like it! 100_2588_sm.jpg And today I managed to get the Wilkinson EZ lock post machineheads on - I'd forgotten how small and fiddly the screwheads were ...

Re: 12bar album
 I looked back at the old forum Blues Room - I'd forgotten how many pieces there are there and so much good playing, and most of it from well before I was on the forum at all, so I don't know what's there. So I'll leave it to old hands for recommendations on that. Of recent pieces how about B...

Re: Two Chord Challenge - Take 1 Viking
Hi guys. I've not got much time this weekend with Strat building needed, so this is essentially first take Hagstrom guitar (with a few duff notes) and first take vocal. Run for the hills - yes, a vocal. :yikes:  I wondered when I got the itch in my brain listening to the BT if it woul...
