Travel Guitar
Hi Guys, My wife and I just got back from a three week vacation. Loads of fun and plenty of sights to see but... no guitar! I (foolishly) thought that I could do without a guitar for a few weeks while we were on vacation. After all... I still had my harmonicas. After about a week, I was really missi...

Mississippi Blues Trail Interviews
Hi all... if you are familiar with the Mississippi Blues Trail markers you may enjoy these interviews. They are raw footage of interviews done a few years ago (not sure exactly of the date) while doing research for a Blues Marker in my home town, Belzoni Mississippi. They also are discussing the loc...

Cool... great sound. Those little Zoom recorders are amazing, they pick up every little detail with hardly any background interference. The amp sounds super, you have done well.

Very nice work!! I would love to see some pictures of the inside and maybe a sound clip? Did you have any problems matching the ohm resistance?

Re: In Memory of MoJo Jim
Thanks for the thoughts guys, MoJo Jim will be terribly missed. Since Strummer, MoJo Jim, and I have not been very active in 12Bar in the past few years I thought some of you "old timers" that were around when MoJo first decided to take up guitar and joined this forum might like to hear ho...

In Memory of MoJo Jim
This great Blues song is shared in memory of our good friend MoJo Jim who was tragically taken from this life on November 30 in a traffic accident. MoJo Jim was a lover of Blues and will be sadly missed but fondly remembered.

Thanks for the nice comments Guys.. Very nice of you. MoJoJim would never say so himself but he is our "Mix Master". He has spent many hours learning how to use our software and it really helps.... he can even make my playing sound almost passable.

Re: Best value Les Paul copy?
Hi Blackhorse I have a LP that I put together from pieces. I have no idea what model it is but it is definitely not a Gibson. $20 at a garage sale... just doesn't happen with a Gibson no matter what shape it's in. One thing that you mentioned is staying in tune. What I wanted to suggest is, no matte...

Homemade Beer Bottle Slide
Hi Guys, I'm no slide player now but I may have to learn. Here's something that I tried and it worked great so I thought that I would share it with you. It's really easy. Step 1. Drink the beer... no pictures for this, I was busy! Step 2. Score the neck about 2" down from the lower ridge. Don't...

Hi Michael, There are certainly lots of lessons to choose from out there on the internet. Griff Hamlin is very good and so is Jam Play but before you decide I recommend that you also check out these three sites. They are some of my favorites. Guitar Jamz with Marty Schwartz... Marty is very patient ...

Re: Love in Vain Blues
Thanks 12Bar and VB... this collab was quite the learning experience for each of us. We are all relatively new to playing music (if I can call two years new). It certainly seems that way to me. MoJo and Strummer have a bit more past experience on guitar than I do, but I have several years of music b...
