Re: Greatest guitar solo....ever
That is phenomenal! Thanks for posting! Where can I find it? I only have Peter Greens anthology and it isn't on there. I don't know what specific album it was on, i believe it was a live album that was possibly a bootleg. If you just want that specific song there are websites where you can download...

A Tribute To Gary Moore
Gary Moore is one of my guitar hero's and his passing was very sad for me. I wanted to record a tribute to him in his playing style. Obviously Gary was a master of the guitar unlike me, I am still quite new to the guitar world compared to him, but i have learnt so much from listening to his music th...

Re: Peter Green On Wikipedia Incorrect??
Yes i saw the video of Need Your Love So Bad on youtube on a "Top Of The Pops" type program or something similar where he was playing a Strat, if that's is where people get their technical information then Wikipedia is in a worse state than i thought! And yes i have that album and i also d...

Theme Song To Your Life?
After the popularity of the Greatest Solo thread I thought I would try this one out. What songs would you choose as the theme song to your life? Not exclusively blues but I would presume most peoples would be along those lines on this forum. I think a limit of two per person makes it a sensible post...

Re: Greatest guitar solo....ever
Your right VB, i had not heard that before because it is quite faint but you can definitely hear Peter let it out vocally what he is playing. The blues was coming so deeply that it burst out from him like some incredible form of Tourettes syndrome.
The best solo ever i'm sure you'll agree ;)

Peter Green On Wikipedia Incorrect??
I just happened to be reading the Peter Green page on Wikipedia and discovered this piece of information.... "In the 1990s he played a 1960s Fender Stratocaster and his Gibson Howard Roberts Fusion with a Fender Blues DeVille and a Vox AC30 amplifier.[2] Footage from live shows in Holland durin...

Greenish
I decided to upload to Soundclick from now on. Here's one i recorded today, very loosely based on some of the theme of Peter Green's song Greeny from the Bluesbreakers album. Played with my out of phase Les Paul. This one is definately free of copyright cause i checked! lol Enjoy listening. 10325622...

Re: I Loved Another Woman (Feat. Peter Green)
I wasn't disagreeing with you at all, just frustrating that we can't get the backing tracks!
I was under the impression that if it was on educational grounds then there was a fair use policy, but as you say we don't want any possibility of legal action so i've taken it down.

Re: I Loved Another Woman (Feat. Peter Green)
Strummer, I did this in absolutely no way for commercial gain, i did this because i love Peter Green. I trawled the internet for a lot time to find even the lowest quality backing track for this and could not find one anywhere, I do not have the skill or know how to create one myself so this was a v...

Come Around (First Song I Ever Recorded)
Well i wasn't sure whether to share this one or not. The date was 23rd September 2008, i had been playing guitar for 10 months, my recording methods were crude and my playing and equipment was much the same way. This was the first full song i ever wrote, played and sang. I actually have not recorded...

This evokes mental images of driving through Jacksonville, Florida again when i made my Skynyrd Pilgrimage.
Really took me to a good place so i enjoyed this a lot.

Re: New one - Like The End of a Song
Great stuff! It sounds so familiar but i can't put my finger on it, i guess that is the sign of a good song. The first solo was great i really liked the tone, sort of a SRV playing Little Wing tone. I would not have been surprised if i had heard this on the radio on not on these forums, would fit ri...

Re: Last Strat Blues
OK here is how I do it Guitar > 10w Practice Amp > Line In (Or Microphone) On Computer > ASIO4ALL > Guitar Rig 4 The guitar signal is weak going into the computer so i use a 10w Squier SP-10 practice amp to boost the signal and give it a bit of Fender sound. The basic microphone plug on any computer...

Re: Greatest guitar solo....ever
Ok i know i posted at the beginning of this thread with a list of quite a few different songs but i decided i would stick to the rules and pick just one. And of course it had to be a Peter Green song, for me there has never been a better player, Hendrix, Clapton, Page, Beck, you can keep them all be...
