Re: Music that talk to me

Of course I love the blues esspecially the stuff out of Chicago from the 50s-early 70s but yeah I listen to a lot of other stuff also. Been listening to some of the early The Black Crowes lately, really enjoying it. Also listen to a lot of more obscure bands like The Steepwater band, Alabamia shakes...

Re: I have started my project

Sound like fun MR, I put a strat kit from carvin togeather a few years ago, was fun keep thinking of building a telecaster some time. Check out guitar re ranch, they have some very good directions on how to prep and paint your guitar, the prep is really the most important part. Its really not hard t...

Re: I think I have a band

Ok time for a little update, We have gotten togeather a few times although we missed a couple times around the holidays. So started up again yesterday, it is hard getting a band togeather, I ended up being the one to organize it by default I guess. I figured with 3 guys who can sing we would have a ...

Re: Is my amp losing its Voice?

VB, I would look at the tubes first, the preamp tube I think is used only as a phase inverter but it is possible that if its going it might effect the voiceings, I know on my super champ xd the preamp tube started acting up and made it sound different , changed the tube and it was all good again. Ho...

Very cool Tom, think the lead guitar could have been a little louder in the mix but it sounds good! What a voice you need to get that woman to front your band!! Great playing as usual!! Dan

got a new overdrive pedal

My wife gave me a T rex crunchy frog overdrive pedal for Christmas. Looks like a pretty cool pedal , I'm very picky about overdrive pedals don't like them if they have to much gain or get fizzy or get the Bees in a can sound or are to thick and muddy sounding or to treble'e. But this one is a keeper...

Re: Where can I find lacquer ?

You might check with some automotive paint suppliers in your area don't know if lacquer is still used in the automotive feild in Europe any more also they do use lacquers for refinishing fine furnature so that might be ...

So I recorded this with just 2 rythem guitars and 1 lead, tech21 trademark 30 miced up and les paul special with P90s, was trying to get more fire and feeling in my pla...
