Re: Lets go deeper into the swamp

Thanks guys! Yeah definetly grittier than my usual style and tone, the slide is something that I always love how it sounds. Although I don't profess to be a very good slide player, it does seem to get a little easier the more I play with it and maybe one day I'll be ok on it! Seems like there are so...

Lets go deeper into the swamp

ok so I have way to much free time on my hands right now between physical thereapy and iceing up my knee I'm supposed to take it pretty easy for a week or two. So lots of guitar time and have recorded a song a day for the past three days, will probably take a little break from the recorder for now. ...

Re: a bit of Santana'ish blues

Thanks VB, Yes the Godin is a single/ single/humbucker guitar, it is the natural satin finished mahogany bodie with a bolt on maple neck with a rosewood finger board. They are one of those guitars that even here in the US seem to be a bit under the radar so to speak but they make a really nice guita...

Re: Gettin' swampy

Hey Blindboy, good job, I liked them both although I think you got a lot more swampy on the first one than I was able to pull off. Liked the 2nd one also not really swampy but some very nice playing! I know what your saying about playing in our own individual style, I try to play more like my favori...

a bit of Santana'ish blues

Re: SuperChamp moving house

HB, how come when you say your playing sucks it sounded really good but when I think my playing sucks it really does? Cool project you have going there, I have thought of converting my super champ to a head a few times but haven't gotten to it yet, kind of like it as a light easy to carry combo. I c...

Re: how about some swampy blues

Thanks VB, I always seem to go for the clean tones, when ever I try to crank up the overdrive or the distortion it just dosen't seem to work for me, which is kind of funny since most of the rock players that I listen to all use quite a bit of gain! Yeah I'm really a P90 guy myself, the special is al...

Re: In Recovery Jam

VB, sorry to hear about the gastritis, hope your feeling better soon, will keep you in my prayers. I can really relate I had surgery on friday to repair a torn menisci in my knee, so I'm not to mobile at the moment either, this getting older stuff can be a real joy killer sometimes! Your jam sounds ...

Re: some more super champ xd blues

Thanks for the kind words VB and HB, coming from a couple of great players that means a lot, I'm glad your enjoying the tune. I think the super champ xd is a great little amp, they sound good, are very reasonably priced, I took mine to a jam a few weeks back, with the copperhead speaker in it it giv...

short reveiw / Lollar 50s wind P90s

So I have been thinking about putting some lollar p90s in my les paul special for a while now but wasn't sure which set to get. finally decided on their 50s wind set, these were made for Sean Costello to match the P90s in his 54 les paul. I have had them in my guitar for a week now did a recording i...

TB that sure sounds good! Got to love that fender blues tone, I got a blues deluxe a while back and its loud also, great for going to jams with never get it past 4 when playing with a band. To loud to play at home much, but nice phat warm fender tone! Nice playing. Dan

End of summer Blues

Hey guys Been a while since i posted anything, I see there has been a little more activity here lately so thought I'd join in. Nothin really fancy, just a nice little blues tune, didn't spend much time on it, was mostly testing the new lollar pickups out. I had a set of Lollar 50s wind p90 pickups p...

Re: Blinded by the Blues - W.I.P

HBL, Sounds really nice, really nice! Your playing is very soulful, sounds like your playing from the heart, I thought the production sounds very proffesional, the song has alot of feeling and vibe to it, holds the listeners attention well ( at least mine ). Was trying to listen for a bass line in t...
