Re: The Dead Bird (a mournful blues)

Excellent stuff. Well done VB (& Sandra). I was going to say, " watch out Mr. Rea", but Weelie beat me to it. I, for one, love the tone!!!!

Re: The guitar question I hate asking

Welcome! The best parlour guitar I've played for a long time is the YARI. This might be marketed as ALHAMBRA??? in the States. Good hunting. :welcome:

Re: Help! Bad GAS attack!

I agree with 12bar about the Champ 600. It's a lovely 'clean' amp just made for strats and teles. It hardly overdrives, but sounds great with a BD2 and my old (and cheap) Zoom 505. It is plenty loud enough for practice with friends, but for small gigs I'd go for a 15 watt valve/tube amp. Good hunting...

Which type of guitar backing?

I recently posted Duane Allman's version of 'Goin' Down Slow' on 'Favourite Slow Blues. The backing on it is piano, bass and drums. I'd like to play my version with a guitar backing for the piano.(not just the 'chunk, chunk') I'd like to know what kind of thing you think would sound good. Electric o...

I hear the Blues in it Viking. But from now on, I'm going to call you Viking "CARLOS" Blues. I really hear the great Santana in your composition. Well done! :music2:

Re: PC recording

Tried looper with just guitar lead direct into laptop. TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE!! But, I've spent a lot of sweat in the garden recently, so I rewarded myself with a Behringer Guitarlink UCG 102, which includes ENERGY XT2 & NATIVE INSTRUMENTS GUITAR COMBOS. This means I will be studying instead of po...

Re: Welcome

WHY is everyone bar Neil and myself, obsessed with their 'mail count'. Who cares how many you've sent? Is it a competition? In that case this should be the subject of our first poll!! If it's that much of a thing, you can always check in the archives. :mercy: :haha:

PC recording

I have wanted to post to The Blues Room for a long time, but not had the 'computer' confidence. I have recently followed Gerd's instructions for home recording (the BASIC bit!), but would like, for posting purposes, to get a better sound. Is it possible to transfer a track from my Boss looper onto M...
