Re: Travel Guitar
Hope your family crisis turns out ok. Sweet project! I used to have an old John Mayall album, and on the cover he was playing a severely chopped down Strat. Looked almost like a Stienberger. (I no longer have the album... I sold all my whole collection last weekend) Yours came out looking really nic...

Re: Off limit or not ?
I did a self build strat from spare parts... Still have it and play it.
Here is an old thread, a bit tongue in cheek, about how I built it.

Y'all gotta hear this!!
I recently ran across these kids on Youtube and was blown away!
They were in high school when this was recorded. Gives me hope for the younger generation.

They have a bunch of videos on YT, check them out!

A repost for TytlBlues...
Tytlblues, this is a jam with two guest artists, one from your neck of the woods. The other guitarist is a guy named Opie Hendrix, and he plays all around where you are. His band is Opie Hendrix and the Texas Tallboys. He is a good performer... Does, I guess, Americana. A mix of blues, country, and ...

Some Texas style blues.
Here's one of the few that I sing. (I call it singing. ) Usually I do this on the Strat, but the Casino was feeling good this night. https://youtu.be/fBr2vb-BAsA Forgive the mix... the camera was too close to the drums. On listening back, I'm pretty sure that my high E is flat... :shy: I can ...

Re: First attempt...
Thanks, fellers... We're going to try to tighten it up Monday night. One doesn't have to play fast to overplay... (I can't play that fast. ) It is more a matter of leaving spaces. Gerd, the lights are exaggerated by the camera. They aren't that bad in person, and I usually have my eyes closed...

First attempt...
This is a deceptively difficult tune to pull off. It's so easy to rush it or overplay (as I do here... ) This is our first try at it. I showed the gang the changes, and we gave it a shot. https://youtu.be/8nXPWj7z8RM We need to work up an intro of some sort, and I need to figure out what I wa...

Fixed my tube screamer...
I haven't used any pedals in years, but I was wanting start using my old Ibanez Tube Screamer for occasional gain. It has been cutting out and skwawking when bumped, so I took it apart and found some cracked traces where the input jack mounts to the circuit board. "Easy fix" I thought. I s...

It could have been bad...
Well, Saturday night, we played at the restaurant and had a large number of guest artists and audience. (It's a holiday weekend) Some friends of mine from Albuquerque were playing at the bar across the street (where we used to play) so I went over to watch them. They were a killer three piece and so...

Sweet! I like hearing your blues excursions. Great tone,by the way.
Do I recall correctly that you put Lollar p-90's in that guitar?. I'm still working on trading for that vintage Gibson, but if it doesn't work out I might look into those for my Casino.

Wow! That looks quit nice!
I, too am a fan of parlour and concert (000) sized guitars. I quite like the wasp waisted look of that one. Seems like you might get the best qualities of a parlour and a concert sized guitar.
Congratulations on the new addition to your stable!
