Re: 12bar album
If I weren't still trying to complete the other collab I'd jump in here, it's a nice L.Fritts track I've already played a bit with.
Hope this week will give me some free time to record.

I think what you mean is that Kalle's comment:
is a bit wrong - Santana indeed is known for using the Dorian mode, but that's not the natural minor scale.Kalle wrote: My Comment; Carlos Santana often use the Natural Minor scale (Dorian Mode) wich emphasis the major second.

I change the whole set if one breaks - but this happens once a year. I still use the strings that came with my used Sheraton... although I bend a lot.

That's not a bad way of naming a guitar - inspired by a beautiful woman. What works for BB Kings Lucille should be work for yours as well  The solo guitar is great, nice bends and not overplayed. Maybe you can change mix a bit to make the background guitar a bit louder. ...

Re: mic recording positions
Do you find with the Gearbox that you have a preferred virtual setting 12bar? I guess they'll have made it so that the virtual setting correspond pretty accurately to real life. I've just played with some settings - the difference in both mic type and distance is minimal, compared to other settings...

Public Domain Blues Songs - Free To Record - Discussion
Most Blues songs are still protected by copyright, as already mentioned in this post. However, there are some (early) Blues songs published before 1923 that are Public Domain (PD), so they can be used freely, recorded including lyrics, and uploaded here. I'll try to collect them in this thread, toge...

I sometimes play this with my son (piano) because of the famous opening riff. Maybe I should learn the solo as well instead of falling into Blues mode...

A bit late after a very busy weekend - I really missed something. Cohen, Dylan, Petty, Cave, and now VB - you don't need no smoke nor whisk(e)y! That's a great Blues voice and the playing is fantastic. Keep on!
